Your Sign will be built by hand, produced by a long-established traditional signwriter, in operation since the early 1980s. Traditional and classic methods are used, which enhance the product and its image – painted timber with hand-painted lettering and flourishes.

MATERIALS
The timbers for our old-fashioned signs are selected for suitability; recycled products such as floorboards and pallet timbers are used, making these signs environmentally sound. This, along with specialist ageing techniques, gives your sign the authentic aged and worn look.

Our signs are primarily for interior use only, where their life expectancy can be many decades (misuse aside!). Exterior applications can happily be catered for, but it must be stressed that more work is involved, and lifespan is typically 6-10 years, depending upon siting and local conditions.
Signs for the home – for the residential market, we can produce name boards to enhance and identify the individuality of your home. These exterior wooden signs are produced with a high degree of attention to longevity – again, expect a lifespan of 6-10 years. However, as with any wooden products, you can prolong sign life with protective varnishing every few years.
